Former PC Cabinet Minister Dan Crummell endorses Ches Crosbie
St. John’s, NL (November 24, 2017) – Today, former provincial cabinet minister Dan Crummell has issued the below statement endorsing Ches Crosbie in his bid for the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador.
“Many Newfoundlanders and Labradorians believe, for the first time in our history, that our present Liberal government will be a one-term government,” said Crummell
“Now, people are looking for leadership that can restore confidence in our economy and our political institutions. They are looking for a leader who has the honesty and integrity to do what they say they will do.
“I believe Ches Crosbie is that leader. That is why I am endorsing him to be the next leader of the PC Party, and to be our next Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.”
Crummell served as the MHA from St. John’s West from 2011-2015, including as a provincial cabinet minister from 2013-2015. Crummell joins former PC Premiers Tom Marshall and Tom Rideout who endorsed Crosbie earlier this month.
The next leader of the PC Party will be selected during their party convention scheduled for April 27-29, 2018.
