Failing To Govern
Premier Dwight Ball recently spoke to reporters in St. John’s about the offshore oil industry.
He said the industry is at a critical point and that we need more exploration and investment.
He proposes… nothing. Big surprise there.
There is no well-thought out plan for the industry. There is no big idea to consider. Basically, government has no clear picture on the future of our offshore oil industry.
What is clear is that the Liberal Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is running us into the ground. It is failing to provide competent leadership. It is failing to govern.
And why not punish people with high taxes and service fees in the process.
At this point, it’s not just a matter of making a plan. It’s a matter of making a government that is capable of planning!
Hopefully after the next general election it won’t be too late to reverse the punitive Liberal policies and set this province back on track.
